The worst thing about this most recent case is that I personally assumed that I would be able to communicate good news today indicating the continuation of the collaboration by renewing the contract. The opposite is the case.

As time goes by, these things become more and more important. Your time is precious and you cannot waste a single minute of it thoughtlessly. In my 20s or 30s, I would not have thought about these things or given them the importance I am doing now. We are getting older. For the better.
